Make us your first stop for information on places to visit, where to stay, local events and where to eat during your visit to Ards Peninsula and Strangford Lough region. Situated beside the bus station and within a short walk of the town centre and the main shopping areas. The Centre can provide you with local and national tourist information, accommodation booking service, fax and photocopying service as well as an extensive range of souvenirs.
Ards Crafts, situated within the Visitor Information Centre, provides a showcase for the talents of local artists and craftspeople in a beautiful retail space. Available to purchase is an extensive range of handmade jewellery, ceramics, woodturning, pottery, textiles and much, much more. Ards Crafts hosts a programme called ‘Meet the Maker’ which provides the opportunity for the public to see the person behind the creations, either through demonstrations or workshops held within the centre.
We are also home to “The Space” an exhibition area featuring a variety of local history, photography, craft and other exhibitions throughout the year.

In 2015 Ards Visitor Information Centre were awarded a Silver Award in the Green Tourism Business Scheme.
We provide picture framing and posters and fine art prints framed and unframed.
Stewart Miller is located in Flagship Bangor, Holywood Town Centre, Conway Square Newtownards and Abbeycentre, selling you Confectionery, Stationery, Cards, Books, Magazines, and most of all, the best Toys you or your child could possibly wish for. We have been previously recognised by the Toy & Hobby Association as the best Independent Toy shop in the UK and Ireland.
The Web Theatre is the only privately owned theatre in Ireland and is home to Dreamcatchers Theatre and Educational Drama Company. Our curtains rose for the first time in September 2004.
Our mission is to provide enjoyable entertainment for all ages and to promote the joy that live performance can bring to the community.
We also have a 108 seat cinema where twice a month we host Talking Pictures amongst other events. The next step in our creative journey is to host a wide range of festivals for schools and drama groups.

Debbie McCann is the designer/maker behind Wee Yarn Designs. As well as specialising in the deisgn and creation of hand knitted fashion pieces, and bespoke baby knits, Debbie also designs and makes Dorset buttons which she uses to create unique pieces of jewellery.
We’re a family owned business with a passion for all crafts and for giving our customers great customer service. We opened our first shop in the seaside town of Bangor in Northern Ireland in 1990 and our second shop in the market town of Newtownards in 1998. We probably stock the most extensive collection of yarns in Northern Ireland from all the leading suppliers and our Newtownards shop also stocks an extensive range of Patchwork & Quilting fabric including the latest designs from Moda and Tilda, as well as over 200 bolts from the Moda Basics range.
We also have a full range of accessories and haberdashery including buttons, ribbons and craft bags. We take great pride in our service. All our staff are experienced and can knit, sew, crochet or quilt so we’re always on hand to help you start a project or give advice if you get a little stuck!
